This daily-updated listing contains data on the geographic distribution of COVID-19 cases worldwide.
The European CDC collects and aggregates this data from countries around the world. The most up-to-date data for any particular country is therefore typically available earlier via the national health agencies than via the ECDC.
This lag between nationally available data and the ECDC data is not very long as the ECDC publishes new data daily. But it can be several hours.
ECDC data enables useful comparison of infections in countries.
Population data included in the dataset is drawn from the World Bank.
