Risk of Diabetes looks at a population of agents (people) who have a particular risk of developing diabetes and its further stages.
Costs and population statistics are calculated stored through a manager agent. Some statistics collected include: undiscounted/discounted costs for interventions and health services, quality of adjusted life years, and life years of the population.
At each stage of diabetes, an agent has a certain risk (or rate) of progressing to the next stage. To explore the model further, these numbers can be adjusted in globals or any number of experiments can be run with a variation in parameters.
